Sunday Snippets

:: Marcus ::

1. We took off his bed rail today. He fell out once a few minutes
after we left his room for his nap.
2. He earned his Buzz Lightyear toy for going in the potty. The potty
training is still going. It's kind of stagnant so we are trying a different
technique starting tomorrow.
3. We had family pictures this week and he was the biggest pill. He
didn't ever smile and did not cooperate. We didn't get one family picture
where everyone was smiling. But they still turned out great!
4. He is obsessed with playing picnic downstairs with his food. Especially
with Lucy. She loves to suck on the food and Marcus thinks its awesome!
5. He loves to get any fly that comes into our house. So I give him the
fly swatter and he tries to get it.
6. We had his last Wee Sing class at the Riverton community center but
we downloaded the songs to CD and listen to them in the car (until mom gets tired of it)

:: Lucy ::

1. Lucy has become so happy with Marcus. She see's him gets so excited. Then when
he gets closer she starts smiling and trying to grab him.
2. She is sitting up so well now and can sit on her own for a while.
3. She has her 6 month check-up and had a runny nose before we went in. We thought
she was teething but the dr. said it was a small cold. She didn't sleep very well one night
which has been the only night in the last 4 months that she hasn't slept through the night.
4. She pooped at Costco the other day. I went in to change her in the bathroom and the hand air
dryer was right by the changing station. Every time someone dried their hands Lucy freaked
out and would start screaming. (bad placing on costco's part)
5. She will grab anything, and I mean anything, in front of her. It's getting
harder to do or hold anything.
6. I put her first pony tail in but it was pretty tight. Her hair is
only long enough in the front, not the back.

Keep up the good potty training work. This too, shall pass. I love that Marcus loves to play picnic with Lucy. I hope he will continue to love it. That picture of Lucy at the doctor is so cute--such chubby kissable cheeks. She does love her brother--good thing, because he isn't always as gentle as he ought to be!
