Balloons and Freedom

The 4th of July was perfect this year because we got Friday off from work we got to spend it with both families, Friday with the Randall's and Saturday with the Kelly's. Here is the Randall 4th of July. The only tradition my family has is to see the balloons in Provo on the morning of the 4th of July. Dave and I are not morning people (we don't know what we are going to do when we have kids) but we made it up at 5:15 AM to make it to Provo to see the balloons being blown up.

Here is my brother and cute niece Kate
It was really fun to be so close to the balloons when they were taking off.
Tony the Tiger balloon
Here are my two nieces. Kate and Brynnley. Don't they both look so cute. My sister Tresa made Kate's skirt, so talented!
My parents called us from Africa during our time watching the balloons we spent about an hour passing around the phone talking to them. The 4th of July is my mom's favorite holiday and she really missed not being with us at the balloons. It was like they were right there because we were able to talk to them for so long on the phone.
Following the balloons we went out on Utah Lake with my brother-in-law's dad's boat. This is the only time I get to go water skiing, so about once a year. I'm not very good but i like doing it. Don't be blinded by the white legs.
My hubbie riding the tube, he had fun even though he doesn't look like it.

We did some fireworks before the kids went to bed, so it wasn't dark but we still had fun.
I bought these huge sparklers for my nephew Gavin when we went to Mt. Rushmore. He loved them!!

It was so fun to see the family memories being made again. I love the picture of everyone talking to us on the phone. It made me feel even more like we were there! Thanks for the post!
