Here are some of the Christmas Activities we did during the month of December.
I made a fun Christmas Countdown at the beginning of the month. It had scriptures and candy in it and it went well the first week and then after that we kind of forgot to open them each day.
We decorated for Christmas right after Thanksgiving and the kids loving getting out the christmas decorations. Marcus loved his tree in his room and amazingly Lucy left the ornaments alone on the tree (unlike marcus did when he was 1).
For family night we decorated our gingerbread house and it turned out pretty good. Mostly because Dave decorated it while Marcus ate the candy.
Lucy tried so hard to get this bag of candy of open - her face was hilarious! She eventually did get it open and the candy went everywhere!
Marcus has been obsessed with hot chocolate so we found a great "decorate your own mug" kit.
Christmas wouldn't be christmas without sugar cookies!!
Marcus had his pre-school Christmas program - which he didn't sing a word and almost cried through the entire thing. He wasn't sure about all the people staring at him but he sure looked cute! (I was holding Lucy while trying to take pictures so they are blurry)
We watched a christmas movie (A Curious George Christmas) and had popcorn. We stayed up late with blankets and pillows on the floor.
We also visited Temple Square when my brother visited from Texas.
We had a fun December with our christmas activities and now know which ones to continue and not continue on to next year!
