Marcus turned 3 on July 24, 2013. This last year for Marcus has been fun as he has been learning to talk and explore more around him. It's no secret that Marcus struggles with talking. We are not sure why but he just doesn't seem to care. He wants to communicate but he can't quite put it into words. This is teaching us a lot of patience and also about speech therapy. He started speech therapy at DDI Vantage in January and gets visits from a speech therapist twice a month. This has helped him to put words together. Before the therapist came he wasn't putting two words together and by the time she was done coming he was putting multiple words together. He qualified for speech therapy at the pre-school for Granite School District in the fall.
Marcus has taught us a lot of things but most importantly he has taught us how to have fun and to laugh. He has so much energy and so much laughter to share with the world that it's sometimes hard for him to harness it. He helps me not take life so seriously and realize it's ok to have fun and not get so many things done everyday.
I'm so happy that Marcus is in our family and teaches me every day. He is growing up so fast into a little man and I love and hate it. He will always be special to me because he made me a momma. He can give the best hugs and kisses and melt your heart with his adorable laugh. Happy Birthday little buddy!
